About the project
Rotterdam is a design stool in solid wood, obtained from a single block of cedar from Lebanon, designed by the young Italian designer Giovanni Tomasini. This stool is the result of in-depth research aimed at the full stability of the shape and a correct ergonomic approach.
A simple object, balanced and at the same time dynamic and full of energy. Rotterdam stool is a Made in Italy furniture produced by the famous furniture factory Riva 1920, a company that collaborates with the greatest designers from all over the world.
Cedar collection
The refined collection of solid cedar pieces is the flagship of the company, all completely natural and finished by hand without the addition of any treatment. The cedar of Lebanon is an evergreen conifer whose wood is characterized by an heady strongly balsamic scent, given off by the resin which also has a natural anti-moth effect.
