“Bagno di servizio 2.0” or “Half-bath 2.0” is an interior design project selected for the prestigious “Draft Book Geberit” 2014. The publication collects a series of drawings with the original interpretations of a selected group of designers, linked to an innovative bathroom idea. The official presentation of the book took place during the Milan design week in GEBERIT’s “Simply Water” event in the Brera Design District. Exclusive location of the event was the “Luciano Minguzzi Museum” in Via Palermo, 11 Milan.
The project represents an upgrade of the “Half-bath” concept, which has always been the “ Cinderella’s bathroom”, this common space is too often underestimated in the design and quality of the components. Luxury, technology and functionality are the three keywords that sum up this study. “Bagno di servizio 2.0” is a pleasant and inviting space, it gathers all the necessary elements, ensuring maximum accessibility; it’s large and very bright with wide glass walls.
Everything is in line with Geberit philosophy and style: predominant shapes are the straight and monolithic lines dictated by the “Monolith” modules that meet the curved and defined volumes of the modern “AquaClean 8000plus”.
Maximum accessibility: a completely open freestanding shower with side jets, which makes use of the Geberit shower module with wall drain; the ceiling incorporates a shower module with rain dispensing, equipped with chromotherapy and aromatherapy functions.
Next to the shower, a spacious tub flushes beside the floor to convey to the bathroom a pool feeling.
A short wall ensures the privacy of the half bathroom adjoining the garage inside the house.
An open space feeling is maintained thanks to the large glass walls.
The taps are minimalist and stylized, the towel warmer made of shiny "Geberit Mapress": industrial style but always of high profile.
